The Crazy Cookie Dilemma

Every year on Christmas my family and I make cookies
I had so much fun making them this year with my cousins
Because my cousins would get icing and put it on my face
Also they would get flour and throw it at me
But I would throw some back
So it was taking us forever to make the cookies
Also my mom got us in trouble for throwing flour on the ground

After all that time playing around
We finally put them in the oven and then made hot chocolate
The hot chocolate was hot as fire
After the cookies were baked and hot chocolate was made
We finally sat down in the living room in front of the fireplace
And it was time to eat
The rest of the time we just talked

Similarities and Differences on Communicating with technology and in person

There are many similarities between communicating in person and using technology. Both ways of communicating a person can be creative. When you’re texting you can send internet expressions. Also you are talking to someone either way.My best friend talks to me when she needs help on her homework,or sometimes she texts me.Another similarity is communicating in person and technology can be time consuming.Once I stay like three months from calling my grandmother,so when I call her we stay talking on the phone for an hour and half. Also you are meeting new people when you’re texting them or talking to them. This year I met new friends and now we talk to each other when we’re doing a project together,or sometimes we text. Finally, the last similarity bullying can be present in both means of communication.

Communicating using technology and in person have many differences. One difference is distance for example communicating in person you need to be face to face to talk with another person.I talk to my friends every day, and for communicating with technology you have to video chat them. Trust is one problem with communicating, in person you can tell if they’re not lying about their identity. I know all my friends and what they like, and with communicating with technology it is easier to fool people.Once my cousin got fool he thought he was chatting with some his age it was a guy that was 57 years old.My third difference is emotion/mood for communicating in person body language and facial expression and for communicating with technology it is hard to tell someone’s tone.My fourth difference is hearing for communicating in person you can hear them better talking face to face, but with communicating with technology you can’t really hear them because sometimes it cuts her/his voice.
My last difference is connection with communicating in person you can connect and know them better, but with communicating with technology there is little emotional connection.
In our world remember to communicate with others no matter what way you decide to.

The Beach Trip

The Beach Trip

I will always remember when my friend and I went to Galveston Beach. It was a funnest trip I’ll ever went to because I went with my best best best friend Brooklyn!

This past summer my friend Brooklyn and I went to Galveston Beach. We were so excited to go, that we even started jumping up and down everywhere, and because of that our parents got us in trouble. But we really didn’t care because the most important part was that we were going to Galveston Beach.

So after several hours we finally got there, and we could see the water as blue as the sky. We also heard the waves go Swish! Swish! It was so beautiful that we wish we live there, and we even ask our parents if we could move there but they said,”No.”

After we were done looking at the awesome beach we decided to go swimming, but Brooklyn didn’t want to come, and she told me,”To tell the truth I don’t know how to swim”. I was like well let me think about it then I’ll tell you okay, and Brooklyn said, “Okay”. “I know what we can do I can teach you”,I said. “That will be wonderful”,said Brooklyn, and we started jumping up and down everywhere again!

After about two hours later Brooklyn knew how to swim to already. We were so happy about that Brooklyn could swim but we were so tired that we went to go get an ice cream. After we were done eating ice cream Brooklyn said ”Now we can go swimming.” We both said “YAY”! We were having so much fun,but our parents call us because it was getting dark already. But we didn’t want to live, but we had to.

After all,Brooklyn didn’t know how to swim but me as her best friend taught her how to swim and she said “Thank you very much I will never forget this”,and she had a big smile across her face. That may me so happy for what I’ve done.

5th Grade Reflectoins

Life in 5th grade has been easy to me,expect the three STAAR tests Science,Math, and Reading. The reason why I like 5th grade is because we have learn a lot like going through the American Century with Mr.Mcbride.I have learn a lot this year, that I don’t want to go to Middle School. My favorite part of 5th grade was when we went on our field trip to  Letourneau Universy, because we got to play in the game room it was so much fun, also my other favorite part was when Mrs.Lobue color her hair purple, and got a pie in the face.I’m going to miss 5th grade.

My Reflection-GS Project

What I learned in the GS project was that when ever your trying to find your own name on the web page you have to put quotes around it so it could show results of your name, not of someone else name cause someone else could have the same name as you.How I felt to teach my classmates what I learned about the GS videos was scary at first but then I thought a minute and I said to myself I can do this. What I also learn about teaching the class things about the GS videos was that you never have to be scared about talking to your classmates just don’t think about being scared and be brave to talk. While working on how to teach the class about quotes my partners were great I love working with them because I have never ever worked with them and they were excellent, when ever I thought of a idea my partners like the ideas I thought about.I love working with them because although we didn’t do a great job they still working hard.I hope to work with them again.

Newspaper

So today on Jan.28,2015 I had just read a book called That a Girl  and it was about baseball players and a girl, boy, and dad.The baseball players were named Babe Ruth,Lou Gehrig, and Jackie Mitchell.the two baseball players were great baseball players, and were on the Yankees team.Jackie was a girl, and she cover her hair under a baseball hat so no one would see it.People thought that girls didn’t know how to play baseball but she did know. All those baseball players were real persons. Then there is the girl that was named Hazel she loved to play baseball, and her brother was named Timmy, and he wouldn’t let his sister play with his friends and him because they thought she was bad at baseball.Their dad had just lost his job,a few weeks he had lost his job he was going to a training out of town. But they were not real persons they were may up.When their dad was at of town Hazel, and Timmy  had went to a baseball game when they got there Timmy had brought a box of crackers with a nickel, back then things didn’t cost that much.Jackie Mitchell was there in her very first game, and so was Babe Ruth, and Lou Gehrig. When the game was over,Timmy had learn a lesson that to never judge weather girls learn to play baseball or not,and that day Timmy let his sister play baseball with him.
